Q. Arithmetic shift left operation

1. Produces the same result as obtained with logical shift left operation.
2. Causes the sign bit to remain always unchanged.
3. Needs additional hardware to preserve the sign bit.
4. Is not applicable for signed 2\'s complement representation.
