Q.1. Can final year student of graduation apply for SSC CGL 2018?
Ans: Yes, But you have to get your degree before 1st August 2018. Check point 6.3 in official notification.

Details in Official Notification Point No. 6.3:
All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for appearing at the Data Entry Skill Test/ Computer Proficiency Test will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets for all the three years of Graduation/ Provisional Certificate/ Certificate of Graduation in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before the 1 st August, 2018, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission. The Candidates who are able to prove, by documentary evidence, that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he/ she has been declared passed, will also be considered to meet the Educational Qualification.

Q.2. Is OBC/SC/ST Central Format Certificate required to get before closing date for receipt of applications i.e. on 04.06.2018?
Ans: OBC required but SSC/ST not required to get caste/community certificate before 04/06/2018.
in the official notification this details is given for only OBC but not for SC/ST.

Details in Official Notification Point No. 5.9:
A person seeking appointment on the basis of reservation to OBCs must ensure that he/ she possesses the caste/ community certificate and does not fall in creamy layer on the crucial date. The crucial date for this purpose will be the closing date for receipt of applications i.e. on 04.06.2018. Candidates may also note that in respect of the above, their candidature will remain provisional till the veracity of the concerned document is verified by the Appointing Authority.

Qs 3. What should be my educational qualification for SSC CGL?
⇒You should hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University. For some specific posts, additional qualification is required. You can check that in the upcoming CGL notification.
Qs 4. How will I know if I am eligible to sit for the SSC CGL exam?
⇒If you fulfill the age limit criteria and educational qualification requirement, half the job is done. In addition, you need to be a citizen of India and be medically fit to be 100% eligible for the posts.
Qs 5. Is there any criteria of minimum percentage required to apply for SSC CGL exam?
⇒No, there is no minimum percentage or marks that you need to score in the degree exam.
Qs 6. I am studying in the last year of my college. Can I apply?
⇒Yes, definitely. However, your mark-sheet should be provided before 1st September 2018.

Qs 8. Do I need Aadhaar Card to register for SSC CGL?
⇒No, Aadhar Card is not mandatory to register for SSC CGL.
Qs 9. Can I upload the passport size photo and signature in any format?
⇒No, you must upload the photo and signature only in JPG/JPEG format.
Qs 9. What should be the size of the scanned copy of photograph and signature?
⇒The scanned copy of the passport size photo should be between 30 to 50 kb. And the scanned copy of the signature should be between 1 to 12 kb.
Qs 10. Can I pay the application fee online?
⇒Yes, you can pay the application fee online. You need to generate a challan online and then, visit a nearby bank in order to submit it.
Qs 11. What is the the application fee amount?
⇒Application fee amount is Rs. 100-/ not refundable once paid. No application fee is required for SC/ST/female category.
Qs 12. Which category is not entitled to pay any application fee?
⇒The candidates who belong to ST, candidates who are physically handicapped, Ex-servicemen and women candidates are not entitled to pay application fees.
Qs 13. What are the SSC CGL important dates?

Qs 14. Did SSC declare any new posts in these last few years? If yes, what is the name of the post?
⇒Yes, a new post was introduced by SSC CGL which is Assistant Accounts Officer with grade pay of 4800.
Qs 15. Is the SSC CGL Tier I exam qualifying in nature?
⇒No, its marks are added to prepare the final merit list.
Qs 16. What is the number of vacancies for SSC CGL 2018?
⇒Vacancy for CGL 2018 is yet not published along with SSC CGL 2018 notification.
Qs 17. Is it compulsory to apply for SSC CGL Tier II Paper 3 (Statistical Investigator Gr.II & Compiler) and Paper 4 (Assistant Audit Officer)) as I have my name in the list?
⇒No, it is not compulsory. The SSC Tier II conducts total 4 papers in which paper 1 (Quantitative Aptitude) and paper 2 (English) are mandatory for all the posts whereas paper 3 and paper 4 are optional. If you have applied for posts of Statistical Investigator Gr.II & Compiler and Assistant Audit Officer, then you can appear for paper 3 and paper 4.
Qs 18. If I have appeared for paper III statistics and unable to qualify, won’t I get any of the posts?
⇒It is not an issue. If you are not able to pass in paper III, SSC will consider you for other posts as per your eligibility.
